Unlocking Growth & Opportunity: Lessons from My Business Trip to Nice
Business trip packed with strategy, reflection, and leadership development. The beauty of this journey wasn’t just in the stunning views of the French Riviera—it was in the clarity, vision, and momentum I gained for both myself and my team.
In our business, travel isn’t just a perk—it’s a platform for growth. Whether it’s attending high-level meetings, training with top performers, or experiencing new cultures, each trip challenges you to level up mentally, professionally, and personally. Nice was no exception.
Growth Requires Intentionality
One of the strongest takeaways from the trip was the importance of reflection and self-awareness. True growth comes from identifying long-term weaknesses—not avoiding them—and creating space monthly to ask, "Where did I fall short, and how can I double my business?" It’s not about perfection. It’s about evolution.
Staying passionate and pushing through the inevitable lows is a mindset I’ve had to cultivate. Growth isn't linear—but commitment must be.
Leadership Is a Daily Standard
In Nice, I was reminded that leadership isn’t about titles—it’s about trust and consistency. People don’t follow your position; they follow your presence, your standards, and your habits. Every conversation, coaching moment, and sales interaction is a chance to lead by example.
Real leadership is shown through performance. If you’re not actively building while coaching, you’re just giving advice. Promotion in this business is earned—not granted.
Time, Environment & Team
Time is our most valuable currency, and this trip reinforced how vital it is to invest it wisely—into high-value activities and people. Surrounding yourself with ambitious, growth-driven individuals accelerates everything. The culture you build in the office and how you connect outside of work creates trust that fuels retention and results.
Team-building was a central focus in Nice. We talked about consistency—aiming for three new starts a week and building depth through volume. One A-player can change a team, but a system full of them creates something unstoppable.
Systems Over Talent
One of the most powerful ideas discussed was the importance of scalable systems. Talent alone can’t build a legacy—systems can. From our Cycle of Development (COD) structure to field coaching routines, duplicability is the difference between short-term wins and long-term success.
We don’t need to be superstars. We need to be systematic enough to be copied.
The Opportunity to Travel & Grow
Trips like Nice are more than scenic—they’re strategic. They remind us of what's possible when you commit to learning, leading, and leveling up. This business doesn’t just give you a career—it gives you the choice to grow, to lead, and to see the world while building something that lasts.
For those considering this path: the opportunity is real. The travel, the people, the culture—it’s all part of the reward that comes with responsibility, effort, and belief.
Final Thought:
Whether you're in the early stages of your journey or leading from the front, every trip is a checkpoint. A chance to reflect, re-strategize, and return stronger. Nice reminded me why I started—and where I’m going.
If you're ready to take control of your future, build real skills, and grow in an environment that rewards leadership, then there’s a place for you here.
